Scar across his tail (turns into a scar across both legs) where a shark tried to tear his tail off, dark blond hair, blue eyes (the color of water as the sun sets.) In merform, his tail is almost pure white. Unique Features: When speaking in human tone, he is monotone and always sounds bored. His scar in human form appears as if someone tried to cut his feet off at the ankles, while in fish form is just where the tail meets the bone. Birth Location: The Arctic Ocean (near the Bering straight) Blood Family: Two parents (deceased, eaten by Collosal Squid,) one sister, 25, one brother (deceased, Sperm Whale) Residence: A waterfront Bungalow on Lake Alata'elen Residing With: No one Profession(s) Held: Hunter (you could say fisherman, but when you're swimming after the food with a harpoon, I think it's hunting.) Employment: Fisherman. Physical Strengths: Let's just say he's built like a marlin. increased speed, strength, and stamina while in merperson form within the water, through his occupation he is slightly stronger and faster than other merfolk. Physical Weaknesses: He may be fast in the water, but on land he's...well like a fish out of water. He's very clumsy, often tripping over his own feet. Also, if he exerts himself too much the area where he was bitten will act up (let's say for the sake of clarity, if he sprint swims for over fifteen minutes, his tail really starts to bug him.) A weakness to dry, arid climates, breathing in freshwater through his gills for an extended period of time can kill him. Magical Abilities: Ability to talk with fish, merperson shapeshifting. Personal Skills & Training: Let's just say you won't find a better fisherman out there. Also a moderately skilled sculpture artist, and fluent in English and Russian. Personal Weaknesses: Not exactly a people person. Also very skiddish, quick to run if something jumps out at him. Personality: When in the water he's very carefree, enjoying breaching, playing games, and all around a fun person to be with. Outside of the water, however, he seems the most boring person in the world. Having spent more time in the water than out, and not having much contact with other species, he has not learned the nuances of verbal communication. Though generally monotone, if he's excited his voice raises to an annoyingly loud volume, and if scared, he whispers almost inaudibly. Also, though not losing his fun loving nature on land, he is far more skittish when not in his natural form, and is likely to try to run and hide from anything he's never experienced. The only time Corisanthias is in any way fierce is prior too, and following a hunt. He tends to retreat within himself during these times, in preperation for the extreme hardships of under water hunting, and is sometimes described as seeming to act like a shark with a hook in its mouth. Quick to snap at people and single minded in purpose. History: Corisanthias was born in the depths of the Arctic Ocean to a solitary tribe of merpeople who took solace in the cleaner (though colder) waters there. He was a chubby merchild, and this fact combined with his white tail earned him the nickname Beluga. It also drove him to prove himself in his teenage years, and for this reason he quickly became known as one of the fiercest hunters of his tribe, despite still retaining his child hood nickname. Despite the prestige of being a fierce hunter, Corisanthias was never able to find a mate among his tribe, much to the dismay of his family. His sister, though young, is already wedded, and his brother before being deciesed, though younger, had also found a mate. But Corisanthias was never able to make a connection with any of the women he met. They were either not able to keep up with his playful nature, or turned away by his mannerisms before or after the hunt (which was often in the arctic.) It was during Corisanthias' coming of age that he received the wound that created the profound scar on his tale. At twenty one he was sent to prove his worth by taking down an adult sleeper shark on his own. He foolishly forgot to check his kill before taking it to the village, and came to find a very pissed off shark within his grip at some point on his journey. Though he killed the shark, it was not before the shark nearly took his tail, and he was lucky enough to make it back to his tribe. During the months that it took for his wound to heal Corisanthias took up art to pass the time. He mastered the art of sculpture, which most of his tribe scorned as a waste of time. They accused him of not only having lost his honor, but his mind as well in his spout with the Sleeper shark. However, he found joy in his creations, and, though not pursuing it as more than something to pass time, he is a moderately skilled artist. Prior to washing up on the shores near Elysium, Corisanthias's tribe was destroyed in a battle between a Collosul Squid and a Sperm whale. All but his sister were casualities of the assualt, and Corisanthias saught vengeance from the whale (who was the victor of the bout.) Without stopping to heed the calls of his remaining tribe mates, Corisanthias grabbed his spear and set out in pursuit. He managed to lodge his spear in the whale's side, which causes it to panic and take him on a long journey far away from his home. By the time that Corisanthias had felled the whale, in a battle that took days, he was left drained of most his strength and almost to the point of death. He washed up on the shore of the Adriatic sea lost and confused. Unable to move, he was at the mercy of fate, and it was there he would be brought to Elysium. He would never know the person who found him and saved him, only that he owed them his life. Despite his victory over the beast which had destroyed his village, he had no idea how many of his tribe mates lived, or if they would even accept him back after the tragedy that had befallen them. | |||||||||
